WHAT IS GLAZE?

Taught by Rosanna Martin

In this four week course you will learn how to mix up, test and adapt a glaze recipe using raw materials from scratch. You will learn the essential ingredients needed to create a glaze and will gain an understanding of the fundamentals behind how a glaze works. We will mix up selected base recipes and alter them, using oxides and stains to explore colour and opacity. We will create line and bi-axel blends to generate new and unexpected results. You will also research and find glaze recipes of your own and have the chance to trial them out.

£130 for four sessions includes tuition, materials, tools and equipment, three firings and all glaze ingredients.
